APPLICATIONS CLOSED

The BEST Center will hold its 8th annual BAS Instructor Workshop from June 3-7 at Metropolitan Community College (MCC) in Omaha, Nebraska.

This year’s event will include a two-day primer on building automation systems, which is required for colleges new to this topic. It will then be followed by three days of more detailed investigations of advanced topics.

Pre-Workshop: June 3-4

This two-day preparatory workshop will introduce new participants to the basics of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC).

Main Workshop: June 5-7

During the next three days, faculty will work in groups to take over thermostatic control functions of commercial rooftop package units using a Building Automation System (BAS) with Direct Digital Controls (DDC).

If selected as a participant, you will develop your own work plan during the workshop and commit to begin implementation of the work plan upon return to your college. Priority will be given to applicants whose colleges are committed and/or actively developing commercial BAS content within their curricula.

Travel, meals, and lodging will be covered by the BEST Center.
