This course covers different methods of measuring and verifying energy savings. Emphasis is on the International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocols (IPMVP) and includes hands-on measurement and verification (M&V) using kWh meters, energy management systems, and data loggers. Information covered will prepare the student to take the national certification exam for measurement and verification. All energy managers know the importance of verifying that projects are working, including promoting success within and outside organizations. This course covers the simple to complex methodologies for measuring success so that systems and projects are documented and managed effectively.
